![]() Saakha & Universal Automobile, the sole authorized distributor of Chinese automaker Geely in Nepal, is planning to roll out the Geely EC7 car by September-end. According to the company, the EC7 is an entry-level sedan having various captivating features and will give stiff competition to other entry-level cars available in the market. “We have been marketing Geely autos in Nepal for the past six-years. With this car, we aim to prove that Chinese automobiles, besides being good in terms of looks, are superior in terms of technology as well,” said Prabal Saakha, managing director of the Saakha Group. According to him, the EC7 is the first Chinese car to pass the European New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP), a European car safety performance test which is backed by several European governments. “Not only has the car passed the NCAP test, it has become successful in getting four-star ratings which is a very good achievement,” Saakha added. Equpped with I4, I6 V DOHC, CVVT engine, the car generate a maximum power output of 139 kw at 6,200 rpm and a peak torque of 172 nm at 4,200 rpm.
